The end of httpd.conf does not need to include a virtual host for configuration.adpn.org (unless the host is promoted). The definition can be ignored (#) until needed.
- URL (example) http://bpl-adpnet.jclc.org/local
- AU Start Url (example) http://bpl-adpnet.jclc.org/local/au1
- Filesystem: /cache1/local/data/web/staging
- Notes: due to finite space, local staged content should probably be removed after harvest.
Staging content from the node alleviates the need for additional hardware to stage the content for harvest (LOCKSS-in-a-BOX).
DNS routing might prove to be a useful feature here for persistence (i.e. http://birminghampublic.adpn.org --> bpl-adpnet.jclc.org)
